The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that all withheld 2024 WASSCE results will be released by February 28, 2025, following the completion of investigations into alleged malpractices.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra, WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, assured stakeholders that hearings for affected candidates were ongoing, with results being released accordingly.
This follows a High Court ruling on January 30 ordering WAEC to release results for 10,520 candidates. However, WAEC has filed for a stay of execution, set for hearing on February 20.
Legal counsel for the students, Martin Kpebu, has criticized WAEC for failing to provide clear evidence of malpractice, leaving thousands of candidates in academic uncertainty.
