WASSCE results to be released by December 29 – Education Minister assures

The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has confirmed that the results for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released by December 29.

This announcement followed a working visit to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) printing facility, where ongoing efforts to address delays caused by broken scanners were reviewed.

WAEC had previously cited government debts as a major factor affecting its operations.

Dr. Adutwum revealed that the Ministry has provided GH¢25 million to aid WAEC in upgrading its systems to avoid future delays.

“We are satisfied with WAEC’s commitment and preparation. By December 29, the results will be ready, allowing universities to process admissions for our students,” he stated.
