National Security operatives have uncovered significant quantities of missing Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) equipment at two sites in Kansaworado, near Sekondi-Takoradi.
The items were found as part of an ongoing investigation into over 1,300 containers that went missing from Tema Port.
Among the seized items were fiber and aluminum cables, meter enclosures, and electrical switches. Investigations traced the equipment to MBH Power, which released it to Hegmic Co. Ltd. for the ECG Loss Reduction Program.
However, the owner of items found at a second site remains unidentified. National Security has confiscated the equipment for further investigation and plans to involve ECG, raising questions about the storage and supervision of ECG materials.
