Walewale MP to establish state-of-the-art recording studio to boost creative art and fight drug abuse menace

Dr. Mahama Tia Abdul Kabiru, the MP for Walewale, has announced a new project. He plans to set up a modern recording studio. This studio aims to nurture local talent and combat youth drug abuse.

Dr. Kabiru spoke at the 6th regional Music Awards in Walewale. He said this initiative is part of a larger youth empowerment program. The goal is to use creative arts for social change.

“As an MP, I support the industry with my resources,” he stated. “I have acquired top-notch recording equipment for North East.” He believes this studio will make the region a music hub.

The MP also mentioned that the studio will help address drug abuse among youth. “We need to fight illicit drug use and armed robbery,” he said.

He pledged his full support to use the industry against drugs and crime in North East.

The project aims to provide positive alternatives for creative development. The fully equipped studio will be completed in a few months. It will serve as a training hub for musicians and content creators.

Dr. Kabiru stressed that the facility will focus on education and awareness too. Plans include working with NGOs, schools, and religious groups on anti-drug campaigns.

Community members have praised this initiative as “a timely intervention.” The project is expected to create jobs and promote local culture.

It will also provide a safe space for youth engagement. The MP hinted at future projects in visual arts and digital media based on this studio's success.
