Watch Old video of Chairman Wontumi accusing Mahama of bonking his house-help

An old video has emerged featuring Bernard Antwi Boasiako, known as Chairman Wontumi. He is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). In the video, he accuses then-candidate John Dramani Mahama of having an affair with his house help.

Chairman Wontumi claims that Lordina Mahama will not vote for her husband. He says she caught him with their maid. Because of this, she was absent during the campaign. Instead, Mahama used his daughter Farida in public appearances.

In the video on Wontumi TV, he stated that Lordina would never support Mahama again. He expressed shock that Mahama is using Farida instead of reconciling with his wife. Wontumi alleged that when Lordina went to the market, she found Mahama in bed with their maid.

He compared this situation to other political figures' spouses. He noted how visible Samira Bawumia and Rebecca Akufo-Addo are during campaigns. In contrast, he claimed Naana Opoku Agyeman and Lordina Mahama are rarely seen together with their husbands.

On May 23, 2025, the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) and Ghana Police visited Chairman Wontumi's home to arrest him. Reports indicate NIB withdrew its officers after NPP supporters gathered outside his residence. The reason for their presence remains unclear.

The atmosphere has calmed down since then, but supporters still linger nearby. Earlier, Chairman Wontumi questioned President John Dramani Mahama about freezing his accounts. He stated he never worked under Akufo-Addo’s administration and criticized the government's actions against him.

Wontumi believes the Mahama government personally targets him and makes false accusations against him.
