Watch President Mahama ‘boogie’ at Black Star Experience launch

John Dramani Mahama is the President of Ghana. He also dances well.

On May 1, 2025, he surprised Ghanaians with his dance moves. This happened during the launch of the Black Star Experience. Many dignitaries and local musicians attended the event.

President Mahama couldn't stay still when NaCee performed. NaCee entertained everyone with great music. He included promises that Mahama made during his campaign for the December 7, 2024 elections.

NaCee mentioned that Mahama has scrapped the e-levy and betting tax. He also launched the Black Star Experience as promised. The dance floor became crowded as others joined the president.

The government introduced The Blackstar Experience initiative. It aims to rebrand Ghana’s cultural, arts, and tourism sectors. The launch took place at Freedom and Justice Monument in Blackstar Square.

This event marked a nationwide effort to redefine Ghana’s identity. It seeks to position Ghana among top cultural destinations worldwide. Government officials, creative industry stakeholders, and international dignitaries attended.

Rex Owusu Marfo coordinates the Blackstar Experience project. He stated it goes beyond tourism; it's a cultural movement. "Ghana is known for its hospitality and rich culture," he said.

The Blackstar Experience invites everyone to feel Ghana's soul. It focuses on seven key areas: cinema, audio, cuisine, aesthetics, style, literature, and heritage.
