Water crisis hits Ho again as Kpeve Headworks shaft fails

Frustrated residents are urging GWCL to find a lasting solution Frustrated residents are urging GWCL to find a lasting solution

Residents of Ho and nearby areas are facing another water shortage following a shaft failure at the Ghana Water Company Limited’s (GWCL) Kpeve Headworks on January 30.

This marks the third breakdown in recent months, disrupting supply to affected communities just a week after service was restored from a previous failure.

Frustrated residents are urging GWCL to find a lasting solution, as prolonged shortages continue to disrupt daily life and businesses.

Some have resorted to buying water, which adds financial strain.

In response, GWCL’s Regional Production Manager, Ing. Ransford Nii Djan Amoo, assured the public that engineers are working to repair the fault and restore supply as soon as possible.
