We had solid achievements, but not everything went right - Bawumia

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President, spoke about the NPP's record. He is also the 2024 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

During the NPP’s Thank You Tour, he reflected on their time in government. Dr. Bawumia praised their achievements but acknowledged some shortcomings. “We had a solid record of achievements, but not everything went right,” he said.

He addressed supporters and highlighted key successes. These included advancements in digitalisation, infrastructure development, and economic reforms. He expressed pride in how the NPP transformed Ghanaians' lives.

“The evidence of our progress can be seen in every sector,” he noted. However, he recognized that some goals were not fully met despite their efforts. “We are not perfect, and no government is,” Dr. Bawumia stated.

He explained that challenges like COVID-19 impacted development speed. Global economic pressures also played a role in these challenges. Still, he reassured party members of their commitment to service and innovation.

“We learned valuable lessons and are better prepared for the future,” he concluded.
