We inherited empty warehouse - Director General, NADMO

The Director General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Major Retired Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon, has made a concerning revelation. He found the warehouse empty when he took office.

During an interview on TV3's Hot Issue program, he discussed the state of NADMO's warehouse. He stated, “I inherited an empty warehouse.” To address this, he contacted trusted suppliers for buffer stock. This was to prepare for upcoming disasters.

Dr. Kuyon could not explain why the warehouse was empty. However, he mentioned that NADMO has formed a committee to conduct audits. These audits will include store and transport assessments.

The committee will provide a report detailing the situation. If anyone is found responsible, they will face legal consequences according to the law.
