National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has threatened mass resistance if government agents proceed with the arrest of Assin South MP, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour.
This follows a tense standoff with NIB operatives at the MP’s residence, after he alleged that two planes recently brought suspected cocaine into the country.
Mustapha, supported by Minority MPs who intervened, accused the NDC-led administration of selectively targeting opposition voices while ignoring inflammatory comments by its own members, like Sammy Gyamfi and Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Warning of political retaliation, he stated, “If they don’t respect the law, we will also not respect the law.”
Mustapha insists any arrest of Fordjour would be seen as an attack on democracy—and the NPP youth wing would respond accordingly.
