We made history together—Akufo-Addo applauds Bagbin

Outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has praised Speaker of Parliament Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin for his exceptional leadership during Ghana's politically challenging era.

In his final State of the Nation Address (SONA) on January 3, 2025, Akufo-Addo reflected on the difficulties of working with a Parliament marked by a slim majority and a Speaker from the opposition.

Despite these challenges, the President acknowledged the role Speaker Bagbin played in maintaining governance stability.

Akufo-Addo highlighted that the period, often fraught with partisan tensions, turned into a time for collaboration, emphasizing that the success of the government was largely due to Bagbin's impartiality and leadership.
