We made promises and we have kept them – Mahama after clocking 120 days in office

President John Dramani Mahama has stated that his government kept its promises to Ghanaians.

He emphasized that the 120-day promises represent a major change in governance. This change focuses on transparency, accountability, and efficiency. It also shows urgency for the well-being of every Ghanaian.

President Mahama said these promises are not just checkboxes on a list.

In addressing Ghanaians about his administration's first 120 days, he noted decisive action and commitment to transparency. He aims to build a just, prosperous, and united Ghana.

He mentioned several actions taken during this period. These include forming a lean government and establishing a strong code of conduct. Other actions involve scrapping burdensome taxes and investigating past wrongdoings.

Additionally, he launched job creation programs and tackled illegal mining. Efforts were made to revive the environment and promote tourism. Scholarships were streamlined, vulnerable populations received support, and security agencies were held accountable.

These initiatives lay the groundwork for "Resetting Ghana" together with citizens.

In these first 120 days, President Mahama has made significant progress in governance and social welfare. However, some pledges are still pending initiation.

Notable fulfilled promises include:

- The rollout of the Mahama Cares social protection framework.
- A free sanitary pad initiative for schoolgirls.
- The launch of the One Million Coders Programme for youth digital skills.
- Introduction of the Adwumawura Programme to create jobs.
