Newly posted graduate teachers whose appointments were affected by the government’s cancellation of post-December 7 public service entries have raised alarm over their uncertain future.
The teachers say that although the Ghana Education Service (GES) reinstated them temporarily and subjected them to a validation process, no formal communication has since been given regarding their postings or employment confirmation.
The silence, they claim, has left them financially strained and emotionally distressed.
Addressing a press conference, Deputy Convenor Emmanuel Ofori urged the GES and relevant authorities to clarify their status immediately.
“We need an official directive confirming that those validated can return to their schools and others can proceed with their documentation at the regional level,” he appealed.
He emphasized that failure to respond by Friday could worsen the frustrations of the affected teachers, who say they are desperate for stability and direction.
