We need to rebrand to rebuild public trust – Afenyo-Markin

Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rebrand. This effort is part of their preparations for the 2028 general elections.

Afenyo-Markin acknowledged that the party faced challenges during its eight years in government. However, he also noted significant achievements that should not be overlooked.

In an interview with Joy FM on May 2, he stated, “We will have to rebrand and assure Ghanaians.” He mentioned the Free SHS program as one of their successes.

He stressed the need for humility and pride. The party must acknowledge its accomplishments while accepting its mistakes.

Regaining voter trust requires transparency and accountability. Afenyo-Markin emphasized a commitment to doing things differently. He said they must show Ghanaians they have learned from past shortcomings.
