A group called Apex Citizens of Ghana has raised alarm over the increasing presence of undocumented foreigners allegedly involved in criminal activities across the country.
Ted Wilson, a member of the group, voiced these concerns during an interview on Rainbow Radio’s Frontline program.
He accused some illegal migrants, particularly Nigerians, of entering Ghana without proper documentation and engaging in crimes against locals.
According to Wilson, many undocumented foreigners benefit from Ghana’s national insurance and free senior high school policies while contributing nothing to the economy.
Speaking from Portugal, he urged the Ghana Immigration Service to strengthen systems to identify and regulate migrants, including issuing identification cards to registered entrants.
He insisted that undocumented migrants should be deported to curb crime and protect Ghana’s economic resources.
