We prefer the Devil over McDan as investor in Songor Project – Concerned Citizens of Ada

The Concerned Citizens of Ada have voiced their strong opposition to Dr. Daniel McKorley’s Electrochem as the preferred investor in the Songor Salt Project, expressing their willingness to accept any alternative—even referring to it as the "devil"—rather than continuing with McDan's involvement.

In a press conference held in Sege, the group raised concerns about forced land acquisitions in Sege, Kasseh, and Ada Foah, and called for investigations into these actions.

They also highlighted unpaid worker entitlements, unjust dismissals, and the need for justice in the deaths of journalist Noah Dameh and Korletey Agormedah, who was shot in 2023

They called on the government to reconsider the current arrangement and explore other potential investors, emphasizing the urgent need for peace, justice, and equity in the region.

The citizens criticized Electrochem and McDan, urging the government to consider other investors and to take decisive action to restore peace, justice, and equity in the region.
