Lands and Natural Resources Minister Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah reaffirmed the government's commitment to ending illegal mining, known as galamsey.

He spoke on The Point of View on Channel One TV. Buah emphasized that the issue is being treated with urgency.

"We are treating the matter as an emergency," he said. "We’re working around the clock, 24 hours a day." He stressed that these issues must be addressed urgently.

Buah assured Ghanaians of the government's relentless efforts. “As a Minister, I can tell the people of Ghana that we are serious,” he stated. “They can be assured that we will win this fight.”
