We should enact a law to jail politicians who lie – KKD

Media personality Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, known as KKD, has called for a law in Ghana that would imprison politicians who lie.

Inspired by a proposed Welsh law to ban dishonest public officials, KKD argued that simply barring corrupt politicians from office is inadequate, as they often continue to live comfortably post-service.

Speaking on JoyNews, KKD emphasized the need for stricter accountability, likening it to the disciplinary standards in professions like medicine.

He warned that political deceit fosters larger corruption, advocating for legal measures to jail those who lie while in public office.
