President John Dramani Mahama has acknowledged the service of outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, expressing gratitude for his contributions to national security.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of new IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Mahama commended Dampare’s dedication to law enforcement and maintaining public safety.
He emphasized that his efforts would not be forgotten and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The transition marks a significant shift in police leadership, with Yohuno expected to introduce reforms aimed at strengthening discipline and public trust in the service.
The new IGP has already assured Ghanaians of his commitment to professionalism and accountability as he assumes the highest office in the Ghana Police Service.
