Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has apologized to party members. He addressed polling station executives and grassroots members in a Facebook post.
He called the lack of invitations during the National Thank You Tour an “oversight.” Agyapong recognized their vital role in the NPP’s success.
“I sincerely apologize on behalf of NPP for this oversight,” he wrote. “Your commitment is the backbone of our great party.”
Meanwhile, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP's 2024 Presidential Candidate, will start a nationwide tour. This “Thank You Tour” begins on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from Accra.
An official statement from NPP Headquarters confirmed this on April 21, 2025. The tour will feature Dr. Bawumia and key national leaders.
The purpose is to express appreciation to party members and the public for their support during the 2024 elections. The theme is “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
The tour will conclude with interfaith thanksgiving services that include Christian and Islamic expressions.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted its significance: “This tour is not just about politics; it’s about saying thank you.” He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported their vision during the campaign.
