The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has pledged unwavering support to traders at Kumasi’s Adum Market following a devastating fire.
Speaking after donating GH₵100,000 to assist affected traders, NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua commended their initiative to lead the reconstruction of their stalls, stressing that waiting solely for government intervention could cause delays.
He reassured the traders and the people of Asanteman that the NPP remains committed to their welfare, regardless of being in opposition.
Kodua also urged the government to establish a seed fund to accelerate rebuilding efforts.
The fire has left many traders counting significant losses, struggling to restore their businesses.
