We will reset Ghana Armed Forces - Vice President

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has made an important announcement. She assured the public that the new members of the Ghana Armed Forces Council will work hard. Their goal is to help ‘reset’ the Ghana Armed Forces. This effort aligns with broader initiatives to reset the country.

She spoke after a swearing-in ceremony on Monday at the Defence Ministry. President John Mahama appointed her as Chairperson of the Council. She stated, “As a Council, we accept our responsibility to serve diligently.” They aim to reset both Ghana and its Armed Forces for peace and stability.

Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of maintaining the military's reputation. She said they want to ensure that the Ghana Armed Forces retain and extend their global standing.

The Ghana Armed Forces Council advises the government on military matters. Its main role is to keep the armed forces efficient and well-equipped. This ensures they can meet national security needs effectively.
