Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has assured Ghanaians that the newly appointed Ghana Armed Forces Council will work to “reset” the military as part of broader national reforms.
Speaking after the swearing-in ceremony on March 24, she emphasized the Council’s commitment to ensuring peace, stability, and an enhanced global reputation for Ghana’s military.
As Chairperson, she pledged diligent service, loyalty, and patriotism in advising the government on military affairs. She stressed the importance of maintaining an efficient, well-equipped, and disciplined Armed Forces.
Opoku-Agyemang expressed confidence in the Council’s ability to strengthen the military and contribute to national security efforts, reinforcing its role in safeguarding peace and stability both within Ghana and on the international stage.
