President-elect John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians that his administration will responsibly manage the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) overwhelming parliamentary majority.
During a courtesy call by the National Chief Imam, Mahama pledged to foster democratic governance, emphasizing consensus-building with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and avoiding unilateral decisions.
He dismissed the "supreme leader" label tied to the NDC's massive win, committing to collaboration with all stakeholders, including religious leaders, to rebuild Ghana. “We can only move this country forward if we work together,” he said.
Mahama highlighted the challenges ahead, calling the electoral victory the “easy part.” He vowed to dedicate his final term to revitalizing Ghana and cementing its legacy as the "Black Star of Africa."
He urged appointees to embrace change, stressing, “It won’t be business as usual.”
