What is Agriculture, Land Ministries and others doing in Accra? – Okyenhene quizzes

The Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin, has urged the government to relocate certain ministries to various regions to promote equitable development across Ghana.

He highlighted that many people migrate to Accra due to the concentration of state institutions and job opportunities in the capital.

During a lecture at the University of Ghana, he asked why the Ministries of Agriculture, Lands and Natural Resources, and the Forestry Commission are located in Accra.

He suggested relocating them to create new townships, boost business, and develop real estate in other regions.

Additionally, he called for a collective effort to tackle illegal mining, emphasizing the need for a more robust approach to address the issue.
