When Ghanaians say let there be light, the NDC says let there be darkness – Afenyo Markin mocks

Minority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin has criticized the NDC government. He mocked them for the recent erratic power supply, known as dumsor.

Afenyo Markin said, "When Ghanaians say let there be light, the NDC says let there be darkness." He claimed that under John Mahama, Ghanaians now face "dumsor pro max."

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former vice president and NPP presidential candidate, also mocked the NDC. He noted that the NPP managed power generation well for eight years. In contrast, he said the NDC is struggling after just four months.

Bawumia warned Ghanaians about the connection between the NDC and dumsor. He stated that they did not listen to these warnings. Now it is clear that a major problem exists.

John Jinapor, Minister for Energy and Green Transition, disagrees with calls for a dumsor timetable. He explained that Ghana generates enough power to meet demand. However, disruptions occur when one plant goes offline.

Jinapor urged patience from Ghanaians as they address these challenges. He assured them that efforts are underway to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
