Dr. Adu Anane Antwi, Convener of the Pensioner Bondholders Forum, has addressed concerns regarding bond payments following the transition to a new administration.
“Many of our members were worried about whether the government would honor its commitment,” he said on PM Express.
However, he reassured them, emphasizing that contracts remain binding despite changes in government.
Pensioner bondholders previously picketed over fears that the new administration might disrupt the payment schedule. However, with payments resuming as planned, Dr. Anane Antwi sees a positive outlook.
The payment schedule, set every six months, has been followed consistently—August 2023, February 2024, and now February 2025.
“This marks the fourth installment, confirming that payments remain on track,” he stated.
