Winneba records 29 confirmed cases of cholera

Effutu Municipal Hospital has confirmed 29 cholera cases from a total of 356 suspected cases, with one fatality recorded.

According to Acting Medical Superintendent Dr. Douglas Amponsah, the majority of confirmed cases stem from a single family in a specific area within Winneba.

The hospital has set up an isolation center to contain the outbreak and has begun contact tracing to prevent further spread.

Most affected individuals are children, but they are responding well to treatment.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to manage the situation.
