The Concerned Women’s Group of the Central Region opposes petitions to remove Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.
They urge all women and women's groups in the country to take action. They describe this situation as a "creeping cloud of darkness." This darkness threatens the progress made in women's empowerment.
The group also calls on the Council of State to intervene. They believe this removal process will not heal or unite the country.
At a press briefing in Cape Coast, spokesperson Miss Vivian Gassor expressed their concerns. She stated that these moves seem driven by self-interest, not for the greater good.
