Wontumi's lawyers secure second surety for GH₵50m bail conditions

The lawyer for Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, confirmed all bail conditions are met. He is commonly known as Chairman Wontumi.

On Friday, May 30, Andy Appiah-Kubi spoke to JoyNews' Michael Ashaley. He stated that the GH¢50 million bail and two sureties have been satisfied.

Despite this, Chairman Wontumi remains in custody. The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) is holding him due to a new court case filed on Friday.

Appiah-Kubi mentioned that the legal team is working quickly to resolve this issue. They hope to clear it by Monday for Chairman Wontumi’s release.
