Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, the Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources, will lead a delegation to Canada. They will attend the Diaspora Property Expo (DPE 2025) on May 24-25. The event takes place at Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Centre.
The DPE is one of Africa’s largest real estate exhibitions. It helps Africans in the diaspora explore property ownership and investment opportunities in Ghana.
Peter Kobina Taylor is Ghana’s Consulate General in Toronto. He highlighted the importance of the diaspora for Ghana's development during the expo launch. The United States segment was held successfully in Philadelphia from March 21-23.
The Canada edition was launched on March 28 at the Ghana Consulate in Toronto. Taylor emphasized that investment from Ghanaians abroad is vital for economic growth, especially in real estate.
Various speakers discussed strengthening ties between Ghana and the Canadian diaspora. They also focused on promoting sustainable developments in Ghana.
The main event will include conferences, panel discussions, and cultural showcases. Leaders from Ghana’s real estate sector will present valuable insights into progress in this field.
Verus Nartey, Executive Director of Diaspora Property Investment Ltd, mentioned networking sessions at the Toronto event. Attendees can engage with developers, financial institutions, investors, and government officials from both countries.
Minister Kenneth Gilbert Adjei stated that Ghana’s real estate landscape is evolving. He sees the diaspora as a key partner for future growth.
He invited Canadians to take advantage of DPE 2025 to connect with credible investment opportunities in Ghana. The goal is to build homes and create a legacy of prosperity together.
Adjei attended the U.S. leg of DPE 2025 and will lead the delegation to Canada. Rev. Yaw Osei, Chief Director of the Ministry, and Dr James Orleans Lindsay, President of GREDA, will also attend.
Organizers of DPE 2025 Canada include several partners such as Diaspora Property Investment Ltd and various ministries and associations related to real estate development.
