World Vision Ghana Launches $12M THRIVE 2030 Project

World Vision Ghana is making progress in building community resilience. They are implementing the $12 million THRIVE 2030 project. This project will last three years.

THRIVE 2030 aims to empower rural and peri-urban communities. It focuses on economic empowerment, digital transformation, and capacity building.

On May 30, Justice Tiiigah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with partners. He hopes the project will benefit over 320,000 households.

Tiiigah stated that they aim to double incomes for 400,000 participants in three years. They also plan to form over 5,000 savings groups using the DreamSave app. Additionally, they expect more than 5,000 producer groups to sustain their production.

The project will use platforms like eDrive and Digimart from ESOCO for monitoring. Tiiigah emphasized the importance of reflecting and evaluating progress at each stage.

The MoU includes various partners: VisionFund Ghana, Farm Concern International, Ghana Commodity Exchange, Fairtrade Africa, Pangea Africa, and Esoko. Each partner brings unique strengths to support economic empowerment and climate resilience.

World Vision Ghana leads the initiative to tackle poverty and improve child well-being. VisionFund Ghana provides microfinance services like loans and insurance for vulnerable caregivers.

Farm Concern International offers expertise in market development and digital ecosystems. The Ghana Commodity Exchange facilitates access to markets through its digital trading platform.

Fairtrade Africa ensures ethical trading practices are upheld throughout the initiative. Pangea Africa supports entrepreneurial growth with mentorship and funding opportunities.

Esoko contributes real-time agronomic advice and market data in local languages. Together, these efforts aim to transform livelihoods across Ghana’s rural areas.
