Yagbonwura Bii-kunuto Jewu Soale I, the overlord of Gonjaland, praised MTN Ghana. He welcomed their new regional office in Damongo. He called it a significant step for employment and development.
The King noted that MTN's presence will ease economic burdens. His people won’t need to travel to Tamale or Wa for services anymore.
In a press release from his secretary, Abdul Samed Abdulai, Yagbonwura thanked MTN for their quick response.
He said, “You are a true partner in development. In less than a year since my request, you have fulfilled it.” The King believes this will create jobs for youth and lower travel costs.
Yagbonwura promised MTN Ghana a peaceful environment for operations. He urged them to focus on local recruitment.
He highlighted the skilled workforce available in the Savannah Region. “We have capable human resources here,” he said.
In another development, an MTN Ghana delegation visited Damongo. They inspected the site of the new regional office. The team included Adwoa Baah and Kwami Aseye Akude from retail management.
