Yilo Krobo robbery incident: Police arrest mortuary attendant

Police from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Somanya have detained a mortuary attendant. This is in connection with a robbery at the Yilo Krobo District Hospital.

The suspect was at the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD) during the robbery. Police began their investigation by visiting the facility. They first spoke with the victim receiving medical care.

Officers then inspected possible entry and exit points used by the robbers. After their investigation, they informed hospital management about taking the mortuary attendant for questioning.

Reports from Citi News indicate that this staff member was not scheduled to work that night. However, he was still present at the OPD when the incident occurred.
