You are the architects of our digital future - Mahama tells Ghanaian youth as he launches One Million Coders programme

President John Dramani Mahama has encouraged Ghana's youth to join the One Million Coders initiative. He sees it as a path to innovation, entrepreneurship, and global relevance.

At the program's national launch on April 16, Mr. Mahama urged young people to take ownership of this initiative. It aims to equip one million Ghanaians with coding and digital skills.

“To the youth of Ghana, I say this programme is for you,” he stated. “Take it and own it,” he added.

He described the initiative as a launchpad for their dreams. It can connect them to opportunities in the digital age.

Mr. Mahama emphasized that youth are not just beneficiaries; they are leaders in this transformation. They will shape Ghana’s digital landscape.

“You are not just participants; you are architects of Ghana’s digital future,” he declared.

The program will be accessible nationwide. Training centres will be set up in community information centres across the country.

"In the next phase, we will activate training centres at community information centres," he noted. These centres will be located in all metropolitan municipal and district assemblies.
