“Your work is indispensable,” he added in a message on X. He reaffirmed his commitment to protecting press freedom and supporting media practitioners.

President Mahama expressed gratitude for journalists' resilience and professionalism. “I commend your dedication and resilience,” he stated.

He encouraged journalists to uphold high standards of integrity. This fosters informed public discourse and contributes to a stronger Ghana.

The President urged media professionals to prioritize truth, accuracy, and ethics in reporting. This approach nurtures democratic growth and empowers citizens.

“Let’s enhance our democracy through ethical reporting,” he said. A free press strengthens the nation and empowers its people.

He referenced his Minister for Government Communications, who spoke at the GJA Honours Night. The government will continue working towards a free media space in Ghana.
