Youth Development Ministry launches ‘Ghana Against Drugs’ campaign - Ghanaian Times

The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has launched a new initiative. This program aims to reduce substance abuse among the youth.

The campaign is called “Ghana Against Drugs (GAD) – Red Means Stop.” It focuses on combating substance abuse in young people.

At the launch, Mr. George Opare-Addo spoke about the issue. He is the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment. He highlighted that substance abuse, especially opioids, threatens youth well-being and the nation's future.

He noted that dangerous opioids, particularly one known as “Red,” are spreading rapidly. This situation has become a national concern. Today marks a decisive stand against this menace.
