‘Youth must be involved in monitoring, evaluation to drive accountability’

The Development Insights Hub (DIH) and the Young Evaluators Community of Practice (YECoP) launched in Accra yesterday.

There was a strong call for youth involvement in monitoring and evaluation (M&E). This involvement aims to enhance accountability and efficiency in public service delivery.

The initiatives will provide opportunities for young people to grow and innovate. They will also allow youth to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The event's theme was “Driving Accountability and Efficiency in Public Service Delivery through Youth Empowerment in M&E.”

Key national figures attended the event. They emphasized the importance of mentoring youth. Involving young people in M&E can improve public service delivery and support national development.
