Zebilla youth urged to eschew violent extremism

Youth in Zebilla have been urged to avoid violent extremism. They should work with local authorities to maintain peace. This will help advance the interests of their area.

As influential members of society, youth must speak out on important issues. This is especially crucial during times of conflict.

Mr. Mohammed Awal spoke at the Youth Parliament session in Bawku West District. He is the Research Manager and Team Lead for Governance at CDD-Ghana. He noted that youth often turn to violence due to peer pressure.

To address this, CDD-Ghana is implementing a project funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund. The project aims to enhance social cohesion through empowering women and youth in three regions of Ghana.
