Zoomlion Ghana disassociates itself from equipment used in galamsey

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has denied any connection to illegal mining activities.

The company stated that equipment with the "Zoomlion" name is not theirs.

In a statement, they clarified that these machines are not owned by them.

Some excavators involved in illegal mining, known as galamsey, bear their name.

However, Zoomlion Ghana Limited does not support or participate in illegal mining.

They do not own, operate, lease, or authorize any mining equipment.

The equipment comes from Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., a Chinese company.

This firm is completely unrelated to Zoomlion Ghana Limited.

The similar names have caused confusion between the two companies.

Zoomlion Ghana emphasized that they are unaware of any such operations.

They urged the public and regulators to ignore any false claims about their involvement.
