John Oti Bless is the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sanitation and Water Resources. He reassured Zoomlion Ghana Limited that the government will pay its outstanding debt. This debt is for sanitation services provided over the past two years.
Zoomlion Ghana Limited, part of the Jospong Group of Companies, is owed GH¢1.2 billion. This amount reflects services rendered during this period.
Mr. Oti Bless spoke to journalists during a tour of the Accra Compost and Recycling Plant (ACARP) in Adjen-Kotoku, Accra. He mentioned that the Minister of Finance has promised to clear all outstanding debts, including those owed to Zoomlion.
He stated, “About GH¢ 13 billion has been budgeted for this purpose.” Mr. Oti Bless expressed confidence that the finance minister will keep this promise.
