Zoomlion distances itself from illegal mining activities

Zoomlion Ghana Limited has distanced itself from illegal mining, known as "galamsey." Reports indicate that equipment with the "Zoomlion" brand is used in these activities.

In a public disclaimer, the company stated it does not support or participate in illegal mining. Zoomlion Ghana clarified that it neither owns nor operates any mining equipment.

The statement explained that the equipment linked to galamsey is made by Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co. Ltd., a separate Chinese company.

Zoomlion Ghana emphasized that any use of this equipment for illegal mining occurs without its knowledge or consent.

The company urged the public and regulatory bodies to ignore false associations and be cautious of unauthorized uses of its name.
