Accra Floods: Tabitha Ayillah Criticizes Stan Dogbe
A video of Tabitha Ayillah discussing the recent heavy rain has gone viral. She criticized Stan Dogbe, the chairman of the Anti-Flood Taskforce, for his lack of empathy. This criticism follows severe flooding in Accra on May 18.
Tabitha Ayillah is a member of the New Patriotic Party. She expressed her concerns while appearing on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV. She was unhappy with how Dogbe addressed the flooding situation.
Instead of focusing on floods, she noted that Dogbe commented on football. His post was about the FA Cup finals between Manchester City and Crystal Palace.
Ayillah expressed disappointment in the government's response to flooding. She said, “It’s unfortunate that you vote for a government to help you.” She mentioned that people must rely on nature instead.
She recalled being hopeful when a task force was formed to combat flooding. However, she feels nothing has changed since then.
Ayillah questioned where the empathy is from those in power. She pointed out that while people struggled after the floods, officials were discussing football online.
