**Ntim Fordjour and Government Clash Over Drug Smuggling Claims**
The government and Assin South MP John Ntim Fordjour are in conflict. This dispute centers on claims of drug smuggling involving a suspicious aircraft.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Minister of State for Government Communications, accused Fordjour of spreading false information. He specifically mentioned an aircraft that landed at Kotoka International Airport.
In response, Fordjour accused Ofosu of lying about his cooperation with the government. After making initial claims, Fordjour allegedly backtracked when asked to assist with investigations.
Ofosu stated that Fordjour claimed he was speaking on behalf of a committee. He said the views expressed were not personal opinions.
Fordjour disputed these claims and denied meeting with any security agency. He called Ofosu a liar and challenged the government to provide evidence.
He stated, "No security or intelligence agency has ever invited me." He also urged Ofosu to produce proof of such an invitation.
Fordjour is still waiting for collaboration from the government regarding President Mahama’s directive.
