"I totally condemn police shooting of youth in Bawku" - Mahama Ayariga

In a press release, Ayariga distanced himself from the police's actions. "I totally condemn the actions of the police," he stated.

Ayariga clarified that he never directed police actions regarding markets or purchases. He emphasized that these matters are solely the responsibility of security agencies.

He stated, "No decision of a law enforcement officer should be blamed on me." He does not control operational decisions made by law enforcement officers.

Ayariga advised the police to collaborate with Zugraan Abugrago Azoka II. The Paramount Chief can help maintain peace and order in his traditional area.
