**Ghana Fire Service Apologizes to Ashanti Regional Minister**
The Ghana National Fire Service has apologized to Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene. This follows criticism from some of its personnel.
The fire service admitted that its members made inappropriate comments. These comments came after Amoakohene's outburst at the Adum fire scene.
Ashanti Regional Fire Commander Peter Tetteh criticized the minister's actions. The service also highlighted remarks from spokesperson Alex King Nartey.
Nartey stated, "We sincerely regret any unfortunate comment made against you." He acknowledged the minister's contributions during the recent fire incident.
On March 21, firefighters contained a fire near Adum Central Market in Kumasi. Afterward, Amoakohene visited and expressed frustration over an empty fire tender at the site.
He questioned why the tender lacked water and raised concerns about preparedness. His reaction highlighted challenges faced by the fire service.
Nartey defended his colleagues, stating that issues should not be resolved through public outbursts. Tetteh felt that the minister’s confrontation was unfair.
Political analyst Reindolph Afrifa-Oware supported earlier criticism of the fire service. He suggested that the minister should apologize to the firefighters for his conduct that day.
