"Who born dog!" Angry Kennedy Agyapong clashes with "ohiani" Abronye

Former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, clashed with NPP Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe Abronye. This incident occurred during Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s national thank-you tour on Monday in the Bono Region.

Abronye spoke first in his welcome address. He made comments that Agyapong interpreted as personal attacks. The Regional Chairman questioned the sincerity of those preaching unity within the NPP. He claimed these individuals had previously caused discord in the party.

Abronye cited a report from Prof Mike Ocquaye's post-election committee to support his claims. He also rejected Agyapong's proposal for amnesty for former members and those suspended from the party.

Abronye argued that granting amnesty would endorse indiscipline within the party. He emphasized that discipline is essential for the NPP's success.

He criticized those advocating for amnesty, stating they had publicly attacked the party before elections. This behavior contributed to the NPP's defeat.

When it was Agyapong’s turn to speak, he expressed his anger at Abronye’s remarks. He warned that he could not be intimidated and responded with direct attacks.

Agyapong stated some people act as if they own the party but do not contribute significantly. He expressed frustration over their lack of financial support while still voicing opinions.

He also criticized Abronye’s record as Regional Chairman, noting that the NPP only secured one parliamentary seat in the region.

Earlier, Abronye defended his leadership and that of his constituency executives. He pointed out that despite strong support for the NPP in 2016 and 2020, key projects were neglected from 2017 to 2024.
