Chairman Wontumi: Kennedy Agyapong Visits EOCO Office

Kennedy Agyapong, a prominent member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has gained admiration recently. This follows the arrest of Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, known as Chairman Wontumi. He was taken into custody by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

On May 28, 2025, Agyapong visited the EOCO head office in Accra. He went there after news of Wontumi's detention spread. A video shared on TikTok by @ghbrain shows his visit.

It is unclear if Wontumi is still at EOCO. Agyapong was accompanied by Dankwa Smith Butey, NPP's First National Vice Chairman. They were seen receiving directions from a police officer.

Agyapong shared friendly moments with police officers during his visit. Onlookers expressed their excitement upon seeing him. Many praised him and referred to him as a potential future president.
