Kurt Okraku is the President of the Ghana Football Association. He says he is focused on his current duties. He is not thinking about future opportunities after his recent appointment.
Okraku was named Second Vice President of CAF on April 26. This announcement came during Dr. Patrice Motsepe’s visit to Ghana. The visit coincided with the 2025 African Schools Football Championship.
He was elected to the CAF Executive Committee unopposed in March. This new role marks a step up in leadership for him.
When asked about future ambitions, Okraku said he has no plans. "My hope is to serve the GFA," he told Asempa FM. He stepped down from WAFU B President to focus on Ghana and CAF.
"My intention is to serve and make the most of this opportunity," he added. "I don’t think about tomorrow."
Okraku joins Faouzi Lekjaa as First Vice President, replacing Augustine Senghor. Kurt Okraku takes over from Ahmed Yahya in his new role.
Gabon’s Pierre-Alain Mounguengui becomes Third Vice President, representing Central Africa. His focus on grassroots football aims to integrate this region into continental football.
DR Congo’s Bestine Kazadi Ditabala makes history as Fourth Vice-President. She is a lawyer and football administrator, promoting gender equality in CAF.
Mozambique’s Feizal Sidat, now Fifth Vice-President, brings valuable experience from his time as President of the Mozambican Football Federation. His expertise will strengthen representation for Southern Africa.
