'Joseph Andoh is an amazing athlete' – Ghana Athletics President Bawa Fuseini

Bawa Fuseini, President of Ghana Athletes, praised sprinter Joseph Andoh Kwofie.

Joseph is a young athlete from Mfantsipim. He showed impressive performances at the 2025 Accra Open Championship. This event took place on Saturday, May 17, at the University of Ghana Stadium. Over 800 athletes participated in the championship.

During the event, Fuseini highlighted Joseph's potential. He said, “Joseph Andoh Kwofie is an amazing athlete from Mfantsipim.”

Fuseini mentioned that they took Joseph to Cote d’Ivoire two years ago. They also brought him to Zambia for the African Championship.

“He’s one of the athletes we are looking forward to developing,” he added.

Fuseini noted some issues between Joseph's coaches and partners in the USA. He emphasized their careful approach to these situations. If Joseph seeks support or guidance, they will always help him. However, if he prefers working with private coaches in the USA, that is acceptable too for Ghana.
